Nurses care for patients with various stages of CKD in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Regardless of CKD stage,
the three main nursing care goals are:
Promote physical and psychosocial well-being.
Monitor disease and treatment complications.
Our Nurses have encountered patients with CKD in all settings and at all stages of the disease. They have identified the risk factors for CKD, and therefore understand how to prevent or slow disease progression.
They are also skilled at providing patient education and monitoring the disease and its treatment. With this confidence and knowledge, we shall promote patient physical and psychosocial well-being to help ensure quality of life.
